Build a rear towing connection around your truck and trailer. The Don Dens pintle hitch plate assembly combines a 35.5-inch-wide x 18.5-inch-high, 3/4-inch steel plate with configurable pintle hook, finish, lighting and trailer connection options.

What each assembly level includes
- Raw plate: plate, gussets, D-ring mounts, light rings and 7-way/gladhand mount supplied for fabrication. The installer completes the welding.
- Welded: D-ring mounts, light rings and 7-way/gladhand mount welded to the plate. Gussets are supplied loose.
- Welded and painted: the welded assembly with a black painted finish. Gussets are supplied loose.
Installation is required for every assembly level. The installer must fit and weld the plate and gussets to the truck. A welded assembly is not a bolt-on, ready-installed hitch.
Included connections and available components
All assemblies include two B5055 1-inch angled D-rings, a WA15-720 7-pin trailer socket, a WA11451 red emergency gladhand and a WA11452 blue service gladhand. Air-compensated configurations also include the PH50ACMK air chamber and plunger kit. The optional LED package uses two M85427R-YCL 5.5-inch stop/turn/tail and amber flasher lights.

- Trailer drawbar/lunette dimensions and required coupling height.
- Hook model, standard versus air-compensated operation, and air supply requirements.
- Finish, lighting, wiring and gladhand configuration.
- Delivery location, unloading arrangements and current production/shipping lead time.
Capacity note: 45-ton and 50-ton descriptions identify the selected pintle hook option. They do not establish the capacity of the finished truck installation. The hook, mounting structure, attachment, vehicle and trailer ratings must all be suitable for the intended application.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order a painted assembly?
Yes. Choose welded and painted for the black-finished assembly. Truck attachment and gusset welding are still completed by the installer.
Can I add lights or angled gladhands?
Yes. An LED light kit and 45-degree gladhand upgrade are available. Confirm the exact configuration when requesting your quote.
